Flashback to a cracking Autumn day with blue skies all the way. We have a real fondness for Autumn weddings and sweethearts Paige & Samuel really set the benchmark high on their day. Paige’s hand made details were truly off the scale and she’s realy put an extraordinary amount of effort in to every last detail. The day started at The Oaksmere in Eye where the B&G got really just a few feet apart in neighbouring rooms. How they managed to avoid bumping in to one another we don’t know! After a stroll down the sweeping tree-lined driveway for some shots in that amazing golden light, it was off to Wingfield Barns for the Ceremony, which included beautiful hand written vows. After an awesome autumn leaf inspired confetti line, we whisked the new Mr & Mrs off for an explore around the rolling Suffolk countryside. An all-round perfect day!

We love what we do because we get to hang out with awesome couples like Amy & Joe! It was a total pleasure spending the day capturing their wedding alongside fellow Norfolk boy Jamie Groom Photography. We loved how relaxed these two were in front of the cameras and they totally nailed their couple shoot. As we took a walk around the grounds at Bassmead Manor Barns they needed no direction at all. We also loved that Amy decided to break with tradition to give a speech alongside her new hubby and we’ve blended some highlights of this in to their little Sneak Peek.
Long sweeping driveway…check! Lots of Autumnal colours…check! Stunning handmade wedding decor…check! Add blue skies and heaps of sunshine and you’re spoiling us! We started the day at The Oaksmere Hotel in Eye with that aforementioned long treelined driveway as childhood sweethearts Paige & Sam got ready literally in neighbouring rooms. We’re not quite sure how everyone managed to keep them from seeing each other but they did! Then it was deep in to the rolling Suffolk countryside to the little gem that is Wingfield Barns. White pumpkins lined the driveway and along the aisle and the attention to detail was incredible, all hand-created by Paige and Sam. After a beautiful ceremony complete with personalised hand written vows, guests lined up for a Autumn twist on confetti as they threw lots of orange leaves on the new Mr & Mrs. There were so many places to explore for our couple shoot and Paige braved the cold and ventured through woods and across windswept fields to capture some absolutely gorgeous shots.
It was a big family occasion at Sprowston Manor, with plenty of well behaved little ones running around in the morning as the Bride and Groom got ready at opposite ends of the hotel. Paula’s proud son Liam accompanied her down the aisle as Andy’s son Mark performed Best Man duties for the day. We spent the afternoon dodging showers but we still managed to get them out for a quick shoot, all while enjoying their well deserved G&T’s! Later, Paula’s Mum Connie stole the show with a heartfelt speech which you can hear a little of in this Sneak Peek.
Lovely as always to work with the brilliant Beverley Harrison Photography too!
It was back to Elms Barn for the 2nd time this last year for Tom & Jasmine’s big day. So many memorable moments in this one and plenty of laughs along the way. After nipping off to Beccles for a lovely ceremony at the very grand St Benets Church it was back for a fun packed afternoon at Elms Barn. Jasmine needed no encouragement when Tom offered her a piggy back ride through the rose garden! Later, as they got one last practice in for their First Dance routine, we we’re treated to an epic pink sunset. Lovely as always to catch up with Mr Luis Holden Photography again too!
It was a jaunt up to Lincolnshire for Charlottle & Russell’s wedding at the stunning St Mary’s Church in Spalding, just a stones throw from the bride’s family home. Meanwhile over at the Poacher’s Country Hotel Russell and the boys took a number of attempts to tie their cravats (all captured on film of course!). After a grey start to the day the sun finally made an appearance at the church and the light through the stain glass windows was stunning. We had a good explore around the church grounds with the awesome Heather Jackson photography and stumbled across some very “rustic” (ie dilapidated) old wooden doors which made for an great looking backdrop for our couple shoot.
We’ve been lucky to capture Bassmead Manor Barns in every season and late Summer is definately one of our favourite times there. Whether it be the huge expanse of wheat fields either side of the driveway or the garden in full bloom, there’s so many places to explore. Lynsey was safely hidden away in the Bridal Boudoir whilst Tom and the boys ran last minute errands around the venue and before we knew it Lynsey was whisking proud Dad Peter down the aisle! After a quick whistle stop circuit around the Bassmead grounds (including those awesome wheat fields) it was time to let Lynsey & Tom enjoy the rest of the afternoon with their friends and family in the aforementioned garden. Guests donned complimentary sunglasses (given as favours) for the rest of the day and night…even on the dance floor! The party was off the scale as we headed off in to the night after another fun day at Bassmead.
We finally got to tick another venue off our wish list back in August, for the lovely James & Dani’s wedding at the stunning Bruisyard Hall in Suffolk and it didn’t disappoint (we’re also a sucker for a long sweeping driveway!).
Dani & James and all of their families and friends were assembled under one roof in different ends of the building to avoid bumping in to one another. This made the morning preperations all the more special and laid back. For us it was also much easier to capture all those special moments without having to travel too far (except for a few trips up and down staircases!). Origami also played a vital and unique role throughout the day with paper flowers and more importantly a jawdropping thousand paper cranes (all hand made by Dani & James) suspended from the barn and in the church at Kelsale. All in all, one of of favourites couples and venues of the year!
First time working with the lovely Hayley Denston Photography too!
When it comes to editing our wedding films we always start with the most important ingredient…the story, or more specifically THEIR story. Finding those emotional, funny, thoughtful and plain ol’ sloppy romantic moments can sometimes be tricky but in the case of these guys it all started with Charlotte’s Nan. In the Bridal Boudoir at Bassmead Manor Barns, Charlotte tearfully read out the heartfelt letter her Nan had given her and we just knew we needed to find a place for it in our film. Thankfully Nan agreed to secret record herself reading it out and we all manged to keep it a suprise until the film was unveiled to Charlotte & Sam a few months later.
A super-duper chilled day at the gorgeous Bruisyard Hall in Suffolk for Dani & James. The sheer dedication these two have for each other was clear for all to see as Brusyard’s Barn was filled with a whopping 1,000 paper cranes – all hand made by Dani & James a show of love and commitment.
We also loved that they both decided to get ready under one roof – the girls occupying the light and airy Bridal Suite and the boys downstairs in the plush Snooker Room. We spent the morning nipping down corridors and hallways (and a few staircases!) to capture all the special moments as they unfolded. Then it was off for a jaunt through the lushious Suffolk countryside to Kelsale Church for a beautiful ceremony followed by a run through some bubble “confetti”. The weather tried (and failed) to get the better of us in the afternoon but we still managed a quick walk around the grounds for a laid back couple shoot with the new Mr & Mrs, including some last minute practice for their First Dance (which they totally nailed BTW!). Great fun to work with the talented Hayley Denston Photography (along with her husband David!) which made the day even more awesome.
