Norfolk’s beautiful 12th Century Langley Abbey has been on our wish list of venues to film for a long time and we finally got the chance to shoot a wedding there earlier this year with the awesome Becky & Paul and their families. Lots of giggles were had with the bridesmaids at home in the morning, whilst Paul and his groomsmen enjoyed some chill out time at the rural Sunnyside Barn. As if there’s wasn’t already any doubt Becky & Paul were a perfect match, they suprised each other with similarly themed photo books of the journey their relationship had taken leading up to the big day. Cue the perfect combo of tears and laughter! Becky looked absolutely stunning as she arrived fashionably late and Paul looked completely floored as he caught his first glimpse of her walking down the aisle. The 900 year old Langley Abbey didn’t scrub up too badly either thanks to the awesome Sarah at Wedding Inspire. After an awesome first dance performance from Bill Downs, the party well and truly kicked off down in the crypt!

When we first met Mandy & Nigel, we just loved how they exuded such a warmth and respect for each other. This warmth was also extended to everyone involved in helping turn their wedding plans in to reality. So much thought and effort was put in to every detail on the day from the gorgeous displays courtesy of Tracy from Timeless Florals to the awesome team led by Daryn at The Cliff Hotel. Whilst Mandy was getting in her stunning dress, her Groom Nigel arrived in style on a vintage Lambretta (with an accompanying entourage of scooters) which we could hear coming a mile away. There’s a lovely whimsical moment right at the very end of this sneak peek which sums up this lovely couple perfectly.
Back at one of our favourite Norfolk wedding venues for the lovely wedding of Justine & Jason at Hales Hall.
So many things to love about this one…. stunning dress, gorgeous bride, an emotional groom, epic venue, an awesome bridal party (and family), top-notch photographer (James Rouse) and some cheeky late afternoon golden sunshine which we just had to take advantage of after a grey start to the day. Justine & Jase were determined to get as many great photos and video moments as possible so were more than happy to let us drag them off around the lush grounds of Hales Hall, although pretty much no direction was required on our part. These two simply knocked it out of the park!
Another first for us on Hannah & Gavin’s wedding day saw the bride and groom getting ready in plain sight under the same roof! It wasn’t a break from tradition though as this was actually round two of the wedding, after a sun soaked celebration in Cyprus the previous week. So with the pressure off it was a chilled out morning of preperations (and laughs!) followed by a beautiful ceremony at Docking Church and then on to The Red Barn for a quintessentially English Vintage tea party, complete with some gorgeous table decorations and bunting to set the scene. What a brilliant day and lovely couple.
For Ellen & Peter’s North Norfolk wedding, the weather played a game of two distinct halfs – both of which added something a little magical to this Sneak Peek. You’d be forgiven for thinking we shot this on 2 different days, one of which looks like the bleak mid-winter (it was in fact June). You’d also be forgiven for thinking we ventured off to a Misty Moor somewhere in the North of England rather than the “sunny” North Norfolk seaside town of Sheringham. It all turned a bit ethereal as the mist swept across the rolling hills of Sheringham Park and we half expected King Arthur to come galloping through our shot! Then as the sun burned away the fog, Ellen, Peter and their families and friends enjoyed a glorious afternoon which ended with a spectacular magic hour. Unpredictable British weather at its absolute best!
It’s early in the season for us but it’s going to be hard to top some of the details from Kayleigh & Joe’s awesome wedding in the pretty North Norfolk village of Thornham. The village hall was totally transformed by an array of colourful chinese lanterns and exquisite hand made stationery, topped off with an epic wedding cake carved with the couples initials. They also had the Best Dressed Page Boy Ever™ in the form of Darth “Austin” Vader who led the march down the aisle with accompanying theme music played seamlessly on the harp by bridesmaid Heather. Not forgetting the very cool getaway car – a gorgeous baby blue 1957 model Chevy Bel Air. Now top that folks!
It was a case of “four seasons in a day” for this beautiful wedding at the Bride’s family home in North Norfolk. Whilst the weather kept us on our toes, it didn’t stop Sarah & Thierry from making the most of their stunning surroundings. It was delightful to see Thierry’s French clan enjoying the uniquely British wedding customs and bringing some of their own along for good measure – including an impromptu and rousing rendition of La Vie En Rose! As the sun went down the temperature plummeted, but Sarah & Thierry bravely ventured out and enjoyed an epic Golden Hour.
We finally got to tick the gorgeous Assembly House in Norwich off the wishlist thanks to Victoria & Chris. These two were awesome to work with – always up for a laugh and ready to smooch at a moments notice (not that we had to ask). Spot the cute moment that Chris locks eyes on Vic and she gives him a cheeky little wave as she walks down ther aisle. Later in the afternoon we were busy filming all the gorgeous details in the room when we spotted the new Mr & Mrs M canoodling on the balcony without warning! Thanks to our lightning reaction we managed to capture the moment without the need for a take 2. Awesome as always to work with James Rouse Photography too.
Shot on one of this summer’s hottest days, Tasha & Steve brought plenty of California sunshine to Norfolk for their Hollywood themed wedding. The day started off with something a little different as we got to film the lads at Swagger & Jack’s, a vintage style barber shop in the heart of Norwich. Tasha went with a stunning vintage movie star look, with those lush red lips courtesy of Emily from Love Moi make-up and hair from Tracey Ward. After the ceremony it was off to the heart of the Norfolk countryside to Hunter’s Hall, where the Hollywood theme continued.
What a brilliant bunch of friends and family Leah & Alastair have. We had lots of fun filming the bridal party in the morning at Elm Farm, then catching up with the lads in their top hats and tails (complete with canes!) at Hethersett Church. Leah created lots of gorgeous vintage details around the venue for us to capture as guests enjoyed local ice creams and a bouncy castle in the garden.
