A traditional English Garden wedding with a Greek twist! Right from the first time Eleanor & Antony talked us through their plans for their unique day we were super-excited to capture it on film. With the girls getting ready at Eleanor’s parents, Rich headed across town to capture some of the traditional Greek Groom preparations. Its fair to say Antony was already pretty emotional at this stage, surrounded by his family and close friends as Mum Nina and Best Man Lenny led the proceedings. Eleanor totally arrived in style with her Dad at Lound church which was totally full to the brim with guests on a super warm and sunny day! The look on Antony’s face was priceless as her first laid eyes on Eleanor at the Alter. After a dual English/Greek ceremony it was a quick trip around the corner to the stunning Somerleyton Hall for lots of lounging around in the sunshine for the new Mr & Mrs and their guests. These two were total pro’s and needed absolutely no direction on our little jaunt around the lush gardens, despite the blistering heat (although Antony did have to ditch his tweed jacket!). And then came the dancing!

Lots and lots of cute moments to fit in to a minute! After a morning filled with plenty of giggles, it was a short walk down the drive way of the family home to Horham Baptist Church for Lizzy and proud Dad Andrew along with her bridesmaids. Lance looked absolutely “in awe” (his words) as he first laid eyes on Lizzy and everyone had a fantastic sing-along during one of our favourite ceremonies of the year. After the longest confetti line we’ve ever witnessed it was off in to the woods to Thornham Coach House. We always love it when the bride decides to get up and say a few words about her new Hubby during the speeches and Lizzy summed up there relationship perfectly by telling Lance “you make my world go round”.
We love what we do because we love telling good stories. It was also a welcome return for us to Southwood Hall after a couple of years away. Breaking from tradition, the Maid of Honour Rachel gave a heartfelt speech which worked perfectly as a narration for Rebecca & Nathan’s rather sweet little tale of how they met. Earlier in the day Nathan looked as proud as punch to see his two gorgeous little ones Jackson and Esme walk down the aisle followed by Rebecca, who looked stunning in her dress and carrying her baby bump with style! This is a story that has so much more to tell…
Steph & Nick’s wedding day was made even bigger with two sets of Bride & Groom preperations (once at The Angel Hotel and again later at Hengrave Hall), two very different dresses (both stunning) and two ceremonies (one intimate civil service and later a church blessing). We loved how despite the doubling up of events, each felt so unique as if we were capturing a completely different wedding day. Even with the packed schedule we still managed to sneak in a super-quick dash around the gorgeous gardens at Hengrave Hall to film Steph & Nick before their wedding breakfast (just the one this time!) and evening festivities kicked off. Phew…what a brilliant day!
Nothing beats a good old outdoor ceremony so we were chuffed that the weather held out for Lindsay & Lee at Dunston Hall. As the girls spent a chilled out morning getting ready in The Penthouse, the boys enjoyed a round of golf to attempt to calm the nerves. Lindsay’s dad looked the picture of a proud Father as he accompanied her across the back terrace and down the aisle. An all-round awesome couple, family and day!
You can’t get more Norfolk than a wedding at The Boat House overlooking the good old Norfolk Broads. When we first arrived in the morning the sky was looking a tad brooding. Little did we know it would reward us with a magical moment later in the day…
We love how The Boat House delivers even if the weather doesn’t and Ellen looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle to meet Louis with the lush and tranquil Ormesby Broad as their backdrop. Later, as we whisked Ellen & Louis off for a quick sunset shoot (with the awesome Mr James Rouse) an awesome double rainbow appeared above them as they stood perched out on the jetty across the broad. Enchanting!
Norfolk’s beautiful 12th Century Langley Abbey has been on our wish list of venues to film for a long time and we finally got the chance to shoot a wedding there earlier this year with the awesome Becky & Paul and their families. Lots of giggles were had with the bridesmaids at home in the morning, whilst Paul and his groomsmen enjoyed some chill out time at the rural Sunnyside Barn. As if there’s wasn’t already any doubt Becky & Paul were a perfect match, they suprised each other with similarly themed photo books of the journey their relationship had taken leading up to the big day. Cue the perfect combo of tears and laughter! Becky looked absolutely stunning as she arrived fashionably late and Paul looked completely floored as he caught his first glimpse of her walking down the aisle. The 900 year old Langley Abbey didn’t scrub up too badly either thanks to the awesome Sarah at Wedding Inspire. After an awesome first dance performance from Bill Downs, the party well and truly kicked off down in the crypt!
When we first met Mandy & Nigel, we just loved how they exuded such a warmth and respect for each other. This warmth was also extended to everyone involved in helping turn their wedding plans in to reality. So much thought and effort was put in to every detail on the day from the gorgeous displays courtesy of Tracy from Timeless Florals to the awesome team led by Daryn at The Cliff Hotel. Whilst Mandy was getting in her stunning dress, her Groom Nigel arrived in style on a vintage Lambretta (with an accompanying entourage of scooters) which we could hear coming a mile away. There’s a lovely whimsical moment right at the very end of this sneak peek which sums up this lovely couple perfectly.
Back at one of our favourite Norfolk wedding venues for the lovely wedding of Justine & Jason at Hales Hall.
So many things to love about this one…. stunning dress, gorgeous bride, an emotional groom, epic venue, an awesome bridal party (and family), top-notch photographer (James Rouse) and some cheeky late afternoon golden sunshine which we just had to take advantage of after a grey start to the day. Justine & Jase were determined to get as many great photos and video moments as possible so were more than happy to let us drag them off around the lush grounds of Hales Hall, although pretty much no direction was required on our part. These two simply knocked it out of the park!
Another first for us on Hannah & Gavin’s wedding day saw the bride and groom getting ready in plain sight under the same roof! It wasn’t a break from tradition though as this was actually round two of the wedding, after a sun soaked celebration in Cyprus the previous week. So with the pressure off it was a chilled out morning of preperations (and laughs!) followed by a beautiful ceremony at Docking Church and then on to The Red Barn for a quintessentially English Vintage tea party, complete with some gorgeous table decorations and bunting to set the scene. What a brilliant day and lovely couple.
